Community-Led Environmental Action for Regeneration

September 17 Update: Three major new projects were agreed in August and implementation should start in September.  The community consultation for the new Growing Space at Kirkland Drive, Methil prompted a warm reception to the idea and real enthusiasm to get involved.   Plans were also made for an environmental programme at Levenmouth Academy to start planting and growing actions using the extensive campus site.  Finally, a group to start implementing the Buckhaven Links! Community Action Plan will meet in September and seek to launch some early actions - anyone or any organisation can join in, the more the merrier.   A busy few months lies ahead since these take place in addition to our ongoing programme, the harvesting of autumn fruit, substantiall spring bulb and tree planting at other sites as well as work at the Buckhaven Growing Space.

Indoor events in September include another Bring It On event (advice clinic, opportunities and swapshop) at the Beehive, and the restart of the Community Cinema for an autumn series.  This in addition to the heritage project gatherings. The bike and pallet workshops will operate at full tilt also.  New volunteers always welcome, and also any unused bikes, plants or tools.
